Valerie Salez (Dawson City, YK)

Valarie Salez graduated from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 2002 and is now living in Dawson City after completing an artist-in-residence program at the Klondike Institute of Art and Culture. She has recently been working on creating “cross-sections” or “core samples” of cultures and eras using fabric and textiles that have certain patterns, styles or designs. She has recently had an exhibition at the Dalhousie Art Gallery in a group exhibition titled “Search and Rescue” in October of 2003.
