Peter Sramek is a Toronto photographer whose work has been exhibited throughout Canada and abroad, and included in various private and public collections. He attended the University of Toronto and MIT, and is a professor of photography at OCAD. His work for the McCleave tour will be an album combining black and white photographs he took on a trip to Prague with his father’s writings about growing up there. Contrasting ‘present’ and ‘remembered’ cities, the piece will explore the way that conceptions of personal heritage influence the ways that we experience urban spaces.
