Kelly Andres studied art at the University of Lethbridge where she continues to live, practicing sculpture and performance. She has organized and participated in various community-based feminist and public art events, including the McCleave 2005 tour. Her work this year, ‘The wee Storybook Theatre,’ will consist of a mini slide viewer, which allows participants can flip through a visual narrative about diasporic identity following cues provided by an audio headset. ‘The wee Storybook Theatre’ will validate the reconstruction of alternative histories that have been denied and suppressed by dogmatic narratives of European identity and family life.
