Femke van Delft (Vancouver, BC)

Femke van Delft is a contemporary artist selected this year by the Vancouver Public Library to create the first site-specific installation using 5000 pencils in the architecturally acclaimed central branch. She has had work in various artist run centers and public locations across the city of Vancouver. In 2001 she won the People’s Choice Award at the British Columbia’s contemporary biannual art exhibition, ‘Artropolis’. Van Delft has been creating large-scale installation art and performance installation art for 10 years and is also a professional photographer.
