Alissa Firth-Eagland is a curator and artist who attended OCAD and Ryerson in Toronto, and now lives in Banff. Her practice focuses on highly collaborative experimental curatorial projects, performances, video, and writing and speaking about art. Alissa’s contribution to the 2006 tour will be a copy of ‘Almanac,’ a quarterly artist’s magazine that she publishes, and a “pre-production diary” entitled ‘Annotation,’ charting the process that goes into making the magazine. In creating a ‘lineage’ of the development of her own project, Alissa hopes to foreground publishing and curatorial practice as art practices, and examine the connections between materialization and intellectual process.
